Trevor has a 27 year history on Cortes Island; first enjoying it as his family’s summer vacation spot and now making it his full time home with his wife, Kaylyn and their 3 dogs. When not delivering aggregates & concrete, estimating projects and serving the community, Trevor enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time with family.

If you venture out to the pit, you’re sure to meet Ron.
He works hard creating product to sell, keeping the pit organized and taking excellent care of our customers needing aggregate. Ron is a lifelong Cortes Islander. He spent his early childhood growing up in Mansons Landing and attending the local school (on the site of the current CoOp Market). He has seen many changes over the years and has a wealth of local history. In his spare time, Ron enjoys the bounty of the sea - whether fishing or gathering on his oyster/clam leases or wild digs, he appreciates his island environment.

Equipment Operator
John has a 10 year history on Cortes, working in forest management before joining Island United. John is extremely skilled at operating all our heavy equipment, especially the excavators, and maintains them in top running order. We appreciate John’s excellent work ethic and dedication to the team. In his spare time, John enjoys the great outdoors… hiking, biking, and exploring the beautiful coastline by boat.

Meet Kurt, the newest member of the Island United team. Kurt is a family man who hails from Quadra island. He comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. At Island United, he operates and maintains much of our heavy equipment. In his spare time, Kurt enjoys time outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting.

For the last 12 years, Miranda held positions in operations support, bookkeeping, and conflict resolution. She is currently supporting the Island United team as a bookkeeper and executive assistant providing customer service to its clients on Cortes and surrouding area. Miranda’s educational background includes a degree in Lettres francaises et éducation from the University of Ottawa and a bilingualism certificate in both of Canada’s official languages.
