With a background in construction, oil & gas., Howard contributes significantly to our projects and community initiatives. Beyond the boardroom, he embraces the island lifestyle by enjoying a variety of water sports and outdoor recreational activities with his large family. Howard has a deep appreciation for our unique island environment and is invested in seeing Cortes Island flourish.

If you venture out to the pit, you’re sure to meet Ron.
He works hard creating product to sell, keeping the pit organized and taking excellent care of our customers needing aggregate. Ron is a lifelong Cortes Islander. He spent his early childhood growing up in Mansons Landing and attending the local school (on the site of the current CoOp Market). He has seen many changes over the years and has a wealth of local history. In his spare time, Ron enjoys the bounty of the sea - whether fishing or gathering on his oyster/clam leases or wild digs, he appreciates his island environment.

At Island United, he operates and maintains much of our heavy equipment. In his spare time, Kurt enjoys time outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting.
